Our company is looking for a Carpenter Apprentice to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Positioning and holding timbers, lumber, or paneling in place for fastening or cutting;
  • Holding plumb bobs, sighting rods, or other equipment to aid in establishing reference points and lines;
  • Erecting scaffolding, ladders for assembling structures above ground levels;
  • MUST have reliable transportation (car or truck);
  • MUST have tools of the trade;
  • MUST be able to work a minimum of 40 hour work week;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license;
  • Material handling for carpenters;
  • Learn to read blueprints, architectural drawings and construction layouts;
  • Maintain a clean construction area;
  • Retrieve tools for other carpenters;
  • Erect scaffolding, shoring, or braces;
  • Assist carpenters with layout;
  • Understand and use of basic hand and power tools;
  • Drill holes in timbers or lumber.

Requirements:

  • Drug free at all times;
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism;
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from qualified Journeyman Carpenter;
  • 3 years of experience as a Apprentice Carpenter;
  • Lift and/or pull 50lbs.,

  • Basic tools / PPE;
  • Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts is a plus;
  • 3 years of experience in carpentry;
  • Supply personal tools;
  • Must be able to pass a background check;
  • Eagerness and willingness;
  • Has their own basic hand tools and power tools;
  • Experience working with hand tools and power tools;
  • Ability to read blueprints.
