Our company is looking for a Framing Carpenter to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembling and fastening materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue;
  • Studying specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required;
  • Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment;
  • Shaping or cutting materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws;
  • Removing damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools;
  • Setup and takedown scaffold, as needed;
  • Inspecting ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures;
  • Read plans and frame structure accordingly;
  • Erecting scaffolding, ladders for assembling structures above ground levels;
  • Adhere to safety program at all times while on job site;
  • Roll out tools, including cords and hoses, every morning, and subsequently roll them up in the afternoon;
  • Unload and move heavy materials;
  • Work as a team member, in a team, to accomplish goals;
  • Maintain clean, safe work space throughout the day–free from clutter and trash;
  • Assist in layout (joists, walls, trusses).

Requirements:

  • Must be able to capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 80 pounds;
  • Must be able to precisely measure, cut, and assemble the framing lumber needed to build custom residential houses;
  • Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts;
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism;
  • Drug free at all times;
  • Proven experience as a framing carpenter;
  • Work well as a team;
  • Personal/ Reliable Transportation;
  • Ability to work outside, year-round, in any and all weather conditions;
  • Willing and able to work fast;
  • exceptional hand-eye coordination,
  • Must provide own basic tools: nail bags (with subsequent carpentry hand tools), circular saw, framing nail gun, and personal cords and hoses;
  • 4 years of experience in commercial carpentry;
  • OSHA 10 Certification;
  • Exceptional balance to safely and effectively work while standing on walls and roofs.
