Laborer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Laborer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures;
- and other activities in a helping or assisting mode;
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required/requested;
- Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies;
- Ability to carry heavy loads of up to 50 pounds in rough terrain;
- Cleans work areas, tools, equipment, materials etc;
- Complete job requirements with minimal supervision;
- Janitorial duties;
- Other duties as assigned;
- General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris;
- Tend mortar and grout;
- Drive truck;
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods);
- Set-up chairs, tables, equipment and materials for special events;
- Move furniture, equipment, and materials.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license;
- Social perceptiveness;
- Experience: Minimum of one year of related experience, but willing to train the right person;
- Ability to use hand tools safety;
- None required;
- Ability to operate a skid steer;
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs;
- Use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; talk and hear without visual cues;
- Ability to lift 75lbs;
- Transportation to work;
- Voluntary OT on weekends for both shifts;
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen;
- Must be willing to work 65+ hours a week during the summer months;
- Various duties and projects as assigned;
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.).
