General Construction Laborer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a General Construction Laborer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean job site;
- Operate a variety of tools safely, including but not limited to: skill saw, sawzall, drill, nail gun;
- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment;
- Holding plumb bobs, sighting rods, or other equipment to aid in establishing reference points and lines;
- Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management;
- Erecting scaffolding, ladders for assembling structures above ground levels;
- Positioning and holding timbers, lumber, or paneling in place for fastening or cutting;
- Photograph end results and work for the Setter office team to report back to the homeowners;
- Assists craft workers as needed;
- Prep window openings for window installation;
- Caulk/trim out windows;
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
- Hold windows in place for installer;
- Assist lead installer;
- Inspect homes for common maintenance needs (examples: adjusting doors, replacing filters, swapping out light or plumbing fixtures).
Requirements:
- High standard of integrity and professionalism;
- Drug free at all times;
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety;
- Must be reliable and self-motivated;
- Perform necessary tasks in a safe manner;
- Are you able to restocks building supplies at the end of shift?
- Do you have the ability to utilize various tools, such as crow bar, hammer, jig saw, grinders, pneumatic nail gun?
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills;
- Must have reliable transportation;
- Responsible/reliable/fast learner;
- May be required to work frequent overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts;
- Provide own clothing: jeans, collared shirt with closed-toed sturdy shoes;
- Be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. periodically during shift when necessary;
- Must have valid “real” driver license;
- Restocks building supplies at the end of shift.
