Machine Helper Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Machine Helper to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately reading tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment;
- Help set up machines and assist machine operator in fabrication and packaging;
- Stack finished product in accordance with factory specifications;
- Assist with loading and unloading of proper machines;
- Securing raw materials;
- Participating in crew meetings, reducing waste, actively participating in team problem solving processes, and maintaining quality standards;
- Applicants must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required;
- Production machine setup;
- Reading factory orders;
- Ensure correct bundle/unit counts, and report final counts to supervisor;
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Ability to stand continuously and lift up to 50 pounds;
- put bundles coming off of conveyer into a stacking pattern/unitizing to go to shipping for shipment;
- Protective gear required (steel-toed shoes);
- Prior environmental or corrugated industry experience preferred;
- Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy, and apply concepts of basic math;
- Prescreen testing required.
