Our company is looking for a Roofer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Installing vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs, and sealing the seams;
- Removing snow, water, or debris from roofs prior to applying roofing materials;
- Cutting felt, shingles, or strips of flashing to fit angles formed by walls, vents, or intersecting roof surfaces;
- Working on low-slope or steep-slope roofs sometimes both;
- Inspecting problem roofingto determine the best repair procedures;
- Inspecting problem roofing to determine the best repair procedures;
- Set up barrier, scaffolding, and any other measures necessary to provide safe access to roofs;
- Cut roofing paper to size using knives; and nail or staple roofing paper to roofs in overlapping strips to form bases for other materials;
- Coat top layers to make a smooth finish, or embed gravel in the mod-bit for rough surfaces;
- Install partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces, determining distance of roofing material overlap.
Requirements:

- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation;
- Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts;
- Ability to comprehend, construct, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and shop drawings for the task being done;
- Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: TPO, PVC, EPDM rubber, built-ups, Bitumen, metal and dura-last roofing;
- 4 years of commercial roofing experience;
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety;
- Eagerness and willingness to learn and receive instruction;
- Ability to safely work at heights;
- Can clearly communication with supervisors, co-workers and customers;
- Safely operate vehicles, mechanical devices or equipment;
- 2+ years of commercial roofing experience;
- Analyze information and evaluate problems;
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
