Senior Operations Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Operations Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support data extraction/manipulation for clients as needed;
- Work closely with Professional Services teams in support of customer deployments across our various software offerings;
- Create and provide ad hoc reports based on need to support the client operations;
- Execute and improve upon existing systems that process data;
- Coordinates with functional teams (and with vendors appropriately) to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues and perform root cause analysis;
- Update knowledge base / create reusable documents, originating from patterns observed during customer issue troubleshooting;
- Collect all necessary problem details from customers to be able to effectively see the problem to resolution;
- Be a key resource in the support SOC audit process annually;
- Partner with Product Support Engineers and development teams as necessary to troubleshoot issues and implement resolutions;
- Work with Development to ensure proper integration and support for Customer Billing and integration with other systems;
- Work closely with Sales team in responding to RFI related to product security and operations questions;
- May need to work in a shift that gets scheduled between 5 AM and 6 PM local time;
- Assist with quarterly Sweeps and quarterly and monthly Statements;
- Write scripts for new automation;
- Work closely with IT to ensure environments effectively support Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery.
Requirements:
- Strong troubleshooting skills;
- Familiarity with SQL and public key encryption a plus;
- Ability to use various utilities on Unix/Linux systems for file and data manipulation.
