Our company is looking for a Preschool Teacher to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver lesson plans, implement school curriculum, and assess developmental needs of students;
  • Completes all academy and classroom paperwork: for example, daily notes, student accident reports, attendance reports;
  • Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children;
  • Overseeing preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance, and facility operations;
  • Nurturing. We’re looking for people who can create a caring classroom community that will cultivate a climate of healthy and positive growth;
  • Provide classroom experiences that are developmentally, linguistically, culturally and age-appropriate for the children served;
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, center functions and training as required;
  • Maintain an updated list of children’s allergies in the classroom;
  • Maintain safety and security of the students above all other duties and responsibilities;
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement lesson plans;
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment;
  • Ensure safety in classroom and outdoor play through consistent monitoring of behavior and conversations;
  • Understand the developmental level of individual children and provide them with age appropriate learning activities;
  • Ensure compliance with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by DCFS;
  • Use the telephone in your classroom if you need assistance or have questions. (NEVER LEAVE YOUR CLASS OUT OF RATIO).

Requirements:

  • Available Hours: 9:00am to 6:00p;
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education preferred;
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development;
  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields;
  • Overseeing preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance, and facility operations;
  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility;
  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively;
  • Negative TB test (within 30 days);
  • AA degree in ECE, CD, or related field from a national accredited college OR;
  • Staff Credential Certification or waiver based on degree;
  • Teacher or above Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing;
  • CPR certified for pediatric and fire extinguisher handling,
  • Mandated 45 hours of early childhood education;
  • Pa State Police clearance;
  • Pa Fingerprints fo r childcare center.
