Our company is looking for a Operations Shift Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • 20%:Ensures quality of work and provides on-site expertise;
  • 20%:Coordination of day to day facilities activities with manufacturing management and other internal clients;
  • Responsible for plant utility systems including plant steam, condensate, wastewater, biowaste, gasses, and other building related systems;
  • Facilitates execution and ensures effectiveness of the operational monitoring of the Production Plant and GMP Warehouse;
  • Provide supervision, training and guidance to the crew of shift facility mechanics;
  • Report out on Operating Slides at L2 meetings;
  • Manage operations inventory of idlers and scrapers in the Fine Crusher & Concentrator;
  • Review and analyze Critical Process Metrics with CRO’s and follow through as necessary;
  • Be a champion of safety – through safety interactions, safety meetings and by example;
  • Communicate to all crew members their job assignments, timing expectations, and associated tasks;
  • Participate in, support, and lead business improvement efforts;
  • Maintain effective internal and external communications on their shift;
  • Prioritize daily break-in work for instrument, electrical, mechanical through the maintenance supervisors;
  • Escalate problems to the appropriate engineering disciplines within the organization or external vendors to achieve resolution;
  • Work to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration on their shift and with other shifts.

Requirements:

  • Incumbent will be required to carry a Phone and be on call as required to support operations;
  • Incumbent should be able to climb a ladder, reach, bend, and lift loads up to 50 lbs;
  • Competency developing, maintaining and reviewing facility related GMP documentation;
  • Good knowledge of Plant utilities and process equipment and systems;
  • Incumbent should be medically cleared to wear respiratory protection;
  • The ability to work at all Takeda MA Bio-Ops site locations;
  • Incumbent must possess a valid MA driver’s license;
  • Good communication skills and ability to provide training and supervision to the shift mechanics;
  • Previous successful leadership experience is required. Must provide examples of how past leadership experiences have improved operations;
  • Must be able to facilitate the development of employees by providing constructive feedback and continuous coaching;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining or heavy industry, with preference given to those with both operations and maintenance experience;
  • Bachelor/vocational degree in related field or at least 5 years related work experience is required;
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus;
  • Must be capable of working effectively and safely using a participative management style in a team environment.
