Production Shift Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Production Shift Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Review material transactions and completes production work orders;
- Work with cross functional teams to resolve technical problems;
- Coach, mentor and develop staff, including preparing and conducting employee performance appraisal;
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations;
- Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action;
- Enforces safety and housekeeping rules and policies;
- Manage/supervisor 10+ hourly employees;
- Maintain employee work schedules including timecard approval, work assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off.
Requirements:
- Lean manufacturing and/or Lean Six Sigma experience;
- Experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry and/or high speed packaged consumer goods manufacturing environment;
- Associates Degree with 3-5 years supervisory experience in a production setting, preferred;
- Experience in department cost control and budget management;
- High school diploma or GED required;
- Excellent Leadership capability – ability to motivate and influence others;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills;
- Drug Test;
- HS Diploma or GED;
- Background check.
