Shift Leader Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Shift Leader to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Resolve guest complaints/issues;
- Work the line as needed;
- Assist with labor management costs;
- Monitor training and development of new employees on shift;
- Check food quality and temperatures throughout the day to maintain Health and Safety regulations;
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to the Pieology standards of quality, consistency, and timeliness;
- Drive crew members to ultimate performance during shift;
- Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions and preparation and cooking of food accordingly;
- Verify food meets quality and quantity expectations;
- Customer service experience;
- Ability to successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant;
- Must have reliable transportation;
- Supervising food production, responsible for the safety of food handling;
- Engaging with guests, building special and meaningful relationships;
- Deliver 2nd Mile Service– Ensure guests feel cared for by going above and beyond expectations.
Requirements:
- Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift;
- Two or more years of resturant experience, including progressive supervisory experience;
- Must have or acquire Serve Safe Certification within 30 days;
- Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines;
- Food handling certification;
- Ability to adhere and follow a rigorous training;
- 1 year restaurant/service industry leadership;
- Have a passion for the sustainable food and hospitality industry;
- Punctual;
- A desire to have fun, while working in a fast-paced, team environment;
- Must be available for day and evening shifts including weekends and holidays and have a flexible schedule;
- In-Depth POS systems experience, basic troubleshooting, TOAST experience a plus;
- Responsible service of alcohol, carry heavy hot dishes, move at a fast pace;
- A willingness to learn and follow directions;
- Professional demeanor and appearance are required.
