Our company is looking for a Operations Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Performs driver reviews;
  • Reviews work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed accurately and efficiently;
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work;
  • Conduct daily work group meetings;
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are being met timely;
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations;
  • Identify and report criticaleoccurring high-impacting customer service issues to Manager;
  • Provide input for various system development and enhancement innovations;
  • Supervises the assigned personnel, equipment, material and subcontractors for the assigned work;
  • Administer service contracts to optimize profits, verify obligations are met, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention;
  • Overall Individual and team performance to meet or exceed company goals and objectives;
  • Perform daily data entry and maintenance of departmental metrics;
  • Develop area and unit specific annual budgets. Monitor cost activity and variances. Compile monthly cost review reports and review with plant staff;
  • Managing and achieving CPWU and Quality goals.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of DOT requirements for commercial vehicles;
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in transportation, and/or logistics services;
  • Microsoft Office experience;
  • Commercial CDL, B or higher; or the ability to obtain one in the near future. (Clean MVR a Plus);
  • Problem solving and leadership skills;
  • Safety training experience;
  • Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve productivity goals;
  • Good communication skills to uncover issues seek win/win solutions and effectively deal with customers both internal and external;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Experience with Windows Office products;
  • Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis;
  • Preferred;
  • The qualified candidate must be able to work independently and have strong written and verbal skills;
  • Effective leadership skills;
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 5 days a week and 45 hours.
