Our company is looking for a Food Runner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering food to tables;
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas;
  • Assisting wait and bar staff wherever needed;
  • Stocking utensils and napkins as needed;
  • Demonstrate competency in steps of service;
  • Removing used dishes, utensils, cups, trash and debris;
  • Complete all opening/closing side duties as assigned;
  • Maintaining clean FOH;
  • Acting as a point of contact between front of the house and back of the house staff;
  • Learning Menus and all ingredients;
  • Set up and break down of expo line;
  • Stocking Bathroom supplies and bathroom checks;
  • Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant operations, i.e. seat/tables numbers/hours of operation, etc;
  • Acting as FOH utility: rolling silverware, restocking glassware, etc;
  • Be happy and constantly smiling.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours;
  • Ability to maintain composure and stay focused;
  • Ability to keep area clean and organized;
  • Ability to work as a team, stay organized, handle various tasks at one time;
  • Must be able to stand or walk up to eight hours at a time;
  • Must be able to hear, see and speak;
  • Abilityto work well under pressure, be professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and courteous;
  • Experience as a Food Expeditor or similar entry-level role in a restaurant;
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. in weight;
  • Continuous use of hands and arms;
  • Solid Communication Skills;
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed;
  • Continuous bending, reaching and twisting;
  • Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive.
