Kitchen Cook Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Kitchen Cook to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.);
- Check food while cooking to stir or turn;
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly;
- Check quality of ingredients;
- Cook food in various utensils or grillers;
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served;
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment;
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages;
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
Requirements:
- Experience: A few months to one year of related experience;
- Multitasks well;
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent;
- Coordination;
- Active listening;
- Excellent verbal and written communication;
- Monitoring;
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures;
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.);
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Excellent physical condition and stamina;
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage;
- Proven experience as cook;
- Very Good communication skills.
