Our company is looking for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Annual certification in the Handle With Care behavior management system;
  • Assist with staff development and activities;
  • Ensure early diagnosis and evaluation; medication management and supervision of treatment in collaboration with other multidisciplinary staff;
  • Flexible, full-time schedule; between 32-40 hours/ week;
  • Additional responsibilities as by the Program Director, Assistant Program Director and/or Agency Medical Director;
  • Provide consultation and education to treatment staff regarding medication use as part of the treatment regimen;
  • Ability to build rapport and establish a strong working clinical relationship with client;
  • Complete initial and ongoing evaluations of clients to determine medication and treatment needs;
  • Prescribe and monitor medications;
  • Complete psychiatric evaluations and medication management;
  • Maintain timely and accurate paperwork, including Medi-Cal documentation;
  • Provide 100% outpatient clinical services;
  • Work on a clinical team of psychiatrists, and licensed psychologists and clinicians.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience preferred;
  • The psychiatrist shall be a physician licensed by the state of New Jersey;
  • Must be a board certified psychiatrist;
  • BC/ BE in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry;
  • Should be involved in continuing education activities to further his/her own professional development;
  • Successful record of clinical and service excellence, research experience, and interest in graduate medical education;
  • Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry;
  • Proof of liability insurance;
  • Board eligibility or certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry;
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN);
  • MD/DO degree;
  • Fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry;
  • Active California Medical License, Current and Valid DEA Certificate;
  • Successful completion of a fellowship in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry;
  • Valid California driver’s license and insurability through Seneca’s automobile policy.
