FT Pharmacy Technician I Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a FT Pharmacy Technician I to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records;
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders;
- Help maintain a clean organized work environment;
- Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies;
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and members of the clinic staff;
- Occasional medication delivery to consumers;
- Perform various clerical duties relating to the department;
- Work with the pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- PTCB Certification is preferred, but not required for all states;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills;
- Some Pharmacy Technician experience is required;
- Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state you are applying to work;
- Candidates for the position will be subject to a standard reference, background check and drug screening;
- Licenses/Certifications: As required by government regulations and business needs;
- Desired: Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician; previous experience in a long term care pharmacy;
- HS diploma or equivalent required;
- Required: Ability to operate a computer;
- Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, oral communication;
- Desired: Ability to recognize and identify medications;
- HS Diploma or equivalent;

- Must be available to work Mon – Fri between the hours of 11am-730pm some weekends.
