Our company is looking for a Mental Health Practitioner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in bi-monthly consultations to discuss clinical issues, and to provide support to each other. Your attendance at this meeting is required;
  • Participate in pre and post check in meetings;
  • Attend rule 47 trainings and comply with all rule 47 guidelines for DHS billing;
  • Meet regularly with clinical supervisor to review cases and case notes;
  • Attend all mandated trainings (CPR, First Aid, CPI etc) as designated by your supervisor;
  • Complete all CTSS paper work and billing for skills in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Help support treatment goals and track progress of students in the day treatment program;
  • Pass DHS Criminal Background Study;
  • Good writing and communication;
  • Coordinate case referral source and other providers involved in the client(s) case;
  • Has masters or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related field;
  • Minimum 4,000 hours of professional experience working with mental illness, substance abuse disorders and/or emotional disturbances;
  • Implementation administration of policies, programs and activities;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Behavioral or Social Sciences;
  • Provide advocacy training, consultation and ongoing community engagement;
  • Conduct individual, family skills and therapy work under the supervision of licensed staff;
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned;
  • Organized & Good Time Management;
  • Manage client files, considering all aspects of the clients need (psychosocial, financial, spiritual, etc.) and make appropriate referral or actions;
  • Valid MN Driver’s License and good driving record;
  • Is a graduate student in the behavioral sciences or related field plus working in a facility for training; or.
