Our company is looking for a Occupational Therapist – Per Diem to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Submits billing, payroll, and expense documentation in a timely manner;
  • Communicate, in a timely manner, with physicians as appropriate to discuss progress and update the plan of care for the patient;
  • Treat conditions pertaining to the upper quadrant of the body, including shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand and finger;
  • Makes appropriate referrals to other members of the rehab team;
  • Evaluate the patient’s level of functioning and develop an individualized treatment plan aligned with patient and family goals;
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders;
  • Develop a plan of care for each occupational therapy patient;
  • Maintains appropriate state licensure, certification and credentialing;
  • Maintains clean environment;
  • Attends continuing education seminars/workshops to keep abreast of new clinical skills, programs or techniques;
  • Perform patient evaluation including all pertinent tests and measures;
  • Participates in care planning meetings, rehab meetings and family training in order to communicate patient progress ;
  • Ensures equipment is in good working order prior to providing care to patients. Follows procedures for reporting damaged equipment;
  • Review patient records for current diagnosis, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications;
  • Provides regular screening of residents and reviews restorative care plans on a quarterly basis.

Requirements:

  • CPR Certification;
  • American Heart Association BLS;
  • NYS Occupational Therapy License and Registration- required;
  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from accredited program;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy- required;
  • Certification/Registration: Registration or pending registration by National Occupational;
  • Knowledge of EMR, MS Word/Excel, OT billing codes;
  • therapy Certification Board required;
  • Licensure as required by State guidelines. Registered through NBCOT;
  • Licensure: Current Missouri License for Occupational Therapy;
  • Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy;
  • Education: Minimum of Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy;
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility preferred;
  • BLS certification required;
  • 2+ years of Experience.
