Our company is looking for a Optometric Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Help patients choose the perfect eyewear;
  • Gather information about a patient’s vision history;
  • Assists the Optometrist with all scheduled appointments;
  • Complete necessary documentation;
  • Contact Lens insertion and removal training;
  • Complete diagnostic testing;
  • Educate patients about contact lens insertion, removal, care and replacement;
  • Work in the exam room with the doctor;
  • Accurate charting of patient information;
  • Manually read all prescriptions to ensure accuracy;
  • Check-in glasses, notify the patient the order is in;
  • Assist Optometrist in exam rooms;
  • Schedule appointments; gather information about a patient’s vision history;
  • Dispense all orders; make adjustments as needed;
  • Experience is nice, but will train the right person.

Requirements:

  • Professional office experience;
  • Proven customer service skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Technologically skilled; skilled in using optical testing equipment;
  • Prior experience in an optical setting preferred but not required;
  • Excitement to learn and grow;
  • Basic Coding skills preferred not required;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong customer service values, as well as a neat and professional appearance are mandatory;
  • Preferred graduate of an ophthalmic training program or specialized ophthalmic experience;
  • No experience necessary; we train;
  • Experience in an optical setting a plus;
  • Prior experience in the Optometry/Optical field;
  • Prefer preliminary and diagnostic testing experience (VFs, OCT, Optomaps, Topography and Tonometry);
  • Able to speak Spanish a plus.
