Our company is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with patient, family, caregivers, significant other and other members of the healthcare team to promote maximum benefit of care;
  • Utilizes appropriate leadership skills in delegating, organizing and educating coworkers and staff;
  • Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients/clients, visitors and staff;
  • Complies with appropriate and approved security and safety standards;
  • Displays appropriate technical knowledge and application of available modalities and other equipment;
  • Provides patient/client care in accordance with established practice standards and facility/departmental policies;
  • Provides care per physician’s orders and plan of care developed by evaluating therapist;
  • Makes effective use of discretionary time;
  • Participates in and contributes to quality improvement process;
  • Distinguishes between low and high priority activities;
  • Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions;
  • Communicate with patients in a way that allows them to confidently make the right decision about the plan of care you suggest.

Requirements:

  • Licensed or eligible in the state of practice. Certification in areas of practice;
  • Highly developed communication and customer relations skills;
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program;
  • Clinical skills acquired through study and practice suitable for the clinic setting;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in long term care;
  • Ability to work professionally, effectively, and efficiently in a team environment with customers, management, co-workers and physicians;
  • Current state licensure in Physical Therapy, in good standing;
  • Be able to communicate in such a way that they can understand why the suggested plan of care is the best solution to solve their problem;
  • Carry out a program of treatment and education as determined by the evaluating Physical Therapist for assigned patients.
