Our company is looking for a Physician Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:

- Provides in-service and daily consultation to nursing staff;
- Assists with the management of emergency patient treatments;
- Administers or orders medication as requested by supervising physician;
- Manages emergency situations in the center;
- Provides medical management for complications related to abortion and sterilization;
- Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines;
- Counsels and instructs patients and their families;
- Responsible to prescribe medication(s) and monitor side-effects of medication and adverse reactions;
- Responsible to analyze, interpret data, formulate diagnoses and problem lists, and establish plans for the management of adult health problems;
- Communicating with patients and families;
- Identify and provide teaching for patients, families, and other health care providers;
- If the need arises, may be asked to cover other Neurosurgery practices within the HHC System;
- Responsible to counsel patients on medical problems, use of medications, expected effects of treatment, diet, and other health maintenance matters.
Requirements:
- Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant;
- licensed as a Physician Assistant;
- Two years experience in Emergency Medicine;
- Must successfully complete systems training requirements;
- Current PA licenses, ACLS, PALS, BLS are required;
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Master’s program;
- First assistant experience, including endoscopic vein harvesting skills preferred;
- Auditing ATLS skills desirable;
- Demonstrated skill in planning and organizing work, managing time, and meeting commitments;
- BLS and ACLS certifications required;
- Demonstrated very high level of communication skills to effectively communicate verbally and in writing;
- A license without restriction to practice as a Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania;
- Minimum 3 year experience, preferably at an FQHC;
- Surgical and Trauma training;
- 2+ years’ experience in cardiovascular surgery preferred but not required.
