Our company is looking for a Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations;
  • Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted;
  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation;
  • Demonstrates concern and empathy while performing procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner;
  • Prepares and positions patients and equipment is a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;
  • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history);
  • Collaborates and confers with all colleagues and members of the healthcare team;
  • Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately;
  • Performs a variety of procedures/studies in accordance with established operating procedures and routines accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Assists in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure;
  • Obtains high quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images;
  • Prepares and positions patients for imaging and selects exposure factors accurately;
  • Explains procedures to patient to ensure understanding. Provides appropriate educational material.

Requirements:

  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment;
  • Current Certification in Basic Life Support from AHA;
  • Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imagining;
  • ARRT Certification;
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills;
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers.
