Our company is looking for a Surgical Scrub Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains availability of instruments and supplies to avoid delays;
  • Confirms that instruments and equipment work properly;
  • Maintains surgeons’ preference cards;
  • Assists in storing and stocking supplies as directed;
  • Assists in maintaining adequate supplies in the operating room for immediate access during procedure;
  • Handles equipment and instruments correctly to provide appropriate availability and safety;
  • Follows principles of aseptic technique and prescribed operating/procedure room procedures;
  • Reports observed or suspected breaks in sterile technique and takes action according to policy;
  • Adheres to aseptic technique when opening sterile packages and preparing for the procedure;
  • Correctly uses, cares for, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, supplies, and equipment per manufacturer’s instructions;
  • Assembles supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physicians’ preference cards;
  • Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patient and physician;
  • Arranges instruments according to given procedure.

Requirements:

  • Preferred Completion of surgical scrub technician course;
  • BLS certification;
  • Visual and auditory acuity for timely responsiveness and patient-care assessment activities;
  • Ability to move quickly in response to patient needs;
  • Timeliness;
  • Punctual;
  • Little supervision needed to accomplish tasks;
  • ASC experience;
  • Physical strength for equipment needs and patient-care activities;
  • Capability for occasional overhead and low reaching;
  • High school diploma or GED certificate;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Accuracy;
  • Surgical scrub technician experience;
  • Ability to follow instructions.
