Automation Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Automation Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Experience prolonged sitting, standing, bending, stooping, climbing and stretching;
- Be exposed to noisy environments, ability to wear PPE;
- Attendance is mandatory;
- Support company manufacturing activities 24/7;
- The ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;
- Travel time up to 10%;
- Occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places;
- Occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals;
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat;
- Occasionally exposed to non-toxic propane fumes or airborne particles;
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, hand tools and small to medium-sized power tool use;
- Occasionally in an office environment;
- Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals;
- Mechanical assembly;
- Regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock.
Requirements:
- Experience with electrical safe work practices – NFPA 70-E Electrical Safety Standard;
- Associate Degree in mechanical, electrical, or other engineering disciplines;
- Experience troubleshooting and programming PLC’s, HMI’s, and independent electronic components;
- A minimum of two (2) years of direct work experience in the maintenance and upkeep of (AGV’s);
- Leadership experience.
