Our company is looking for a Automotive Technician Auto Mechanic to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology;
  • Explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals who may include employees and customers on an as-required basis;
  • Assist other technicians in performing technical activities;
  • Maintaining an organized and neat bay;
  • Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur;
  • Inspect and diagnose customer vehicles;
  • Maintain assigned work schedule and start work by scheduled time;
  • Stay updated on technology, requirements and processes for automotive service and repair;
  • Clean shop, restrooms, waiting room and take out trash;
  • Provide high quality maintenance and repairs to customers’ vehicles;
  • Communicate actively and clearly with employees and/or customers; explaining diagnosis and needed repairs as required to assist sales staff;
  • Maintain safe shop conditions and work practices;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Experience with brakes, suspension, mufflers, and alignments;
  • Customer-focused attitude;
  • 3+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience;
  • Must be at least 18 years of age;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Represent self and MIDAS in a professional manner;
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience;
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and management;
  • Maintain high quality service to internal and external customers;
  • able to be on your feet for long periods of times;
  • Able to bend, twist, grab, reach and any other activity required to service vehicles;
  • Able to read and write in English;
  • Able to safely lift of up to 75 pounds to chest level;
  • ASE-certified G1 – Auto Maintenance and Light Repair;
  • 2+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
