Our company is looking for a Automotive Technician Auto Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology;
- Explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals who may include employees and customers on an as-required basis;
- Assist other technicians in performing technical activities;
- Maintaining an organized and neat bay;
- Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur;
- Inspect and diagnose customer vehicles;
- Maintain assigned work schedule and start work by scheduled time;
- Stay updated on technology, requirements and processes for automotive service and repair;
- Clean shop, restrooms, waiting room and take out trash;
- Provide high quality maintenance and repairs to customers’ vehicles;
- Communicate actively and clearly with employees and/or customers; explaining diagnosis and needed repairs as required to assist sales staff;
- Maintain safe shop conditions and work practices;
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Experience with brakes, suspension, mufflers, and alignments;
- Customer-focused attitude;
- 3+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience;
- Must be at least 18 years of age;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Represent self and MIDAS in a professional manner;
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience;
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and management;
- Maintain high quality service to internal and external customers;
- able to be on your feet for long periods of times;
- Able to bend, twist, grab, reach and any other activity required to service vehicles;
- Able to read and write in English;
- Able to safely lift of up to 75 pounds to chest level;
- ASE-certified G1 – Auto Maintenance and Light Repair;
- 2+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
