Our company is looking for a maintenance mechanic 2 to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments;
  • Prepares requisitions for parts and machines;
  • Other related duties as assigned;
  • Rebuilds machines to improve tolerances and overall performance;
  • Dismantles equipment and machines to gain access and remove defective parts;
  • Ultimately responsible for returning machine to full operational status;
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs on equipment;
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs on equipment;
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders;
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sound to troubleshoot possible problems;
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs new parts and lubricates the existing parts;
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area;
  • Comply with state and federal law safety regulations in addition to Oberg safety and security procedures;
  • Fabricates obsolete machine parts.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate through written, verbal, or other means of communication;
  • Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes;
  • Basic metal fabrication and welding;
  • Experience in the following areas: Work order management;
  • Must be able to understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
  • Must be able to understand and perform to job-related quality standards, methods, usage of inspection devices and reporting as required;
  • Basic blueprint and schematic reading;
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations;
  • Industrial Controls and Electronics;
  • Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs);
  • Must be able to locate, diagnose and correct problems in equipment and systems utilizing test equipment and/or prior work experience;
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions;
  • Must have the ability and interpersonal skills to successfully work as a team member to obtain desired results;
  • Must be able to work all shifts including holidays and weekends;
  • Must be able to travel (domestic & international).
