Maintenance Technician II Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conform to company apparel standards and set a positive example for all Associates;
- Make recommendations to maintain a proper inventory of supplies and tools sufficient for turning units;
- Dismantling machines or equipment, replacing defective parts and motors, and adjusting feed mechanisms;
- Replacing or repairing machine belts;
- Removing dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines;
- Cutting out and joining parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other furnishings;
- Painting machines or equipment to prevent corrosion;
- Bending and cutting conduit and wire, and drills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical connections;
- Emphasizes the commitment to performing all work in compliance with environmental procedures with crafts and contractors;
- HVAC and CPO certifications preferred;
- Understands budget requirements for plant equipment and systems maintenance. Follow through with implementation of approved projects;
- General computer skills in Microsoft Office and property management based software;
- Assist with repairs and parts orders, and communicate any concerns to team leaders;
- Able to accurately perform measurements and basic math;

Requirements:
- Able to accurately perform measurements and basic math;
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or instrumentation maintenance procedures and work practices;
- General computer skills in Microsoft Office and property management based software;
- HVAC and CPO certification preferred;
- Able to effectively communicate, as well as read container labels;
- Mechanical skills not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic trouble shooting and repair;
- Emphasizes the commitment to performing all work in compliance with environmental procedures with crafts and contractors;
- Understands budget requirements for plant equipment and systems maintenance. Follow through with implementation of approved projects;
- Proficient in most areas of maintenance including; electrical, plumbing, HVAC, light carpentry and construction;
- Previous custodial experience preferred;
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred;
- Minimum of 5 years continuous, relevant experience with electricity, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and other skills necessary;
- Able to effectively communication (verbal and written), as well as read container labels;
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- Be able to deal professionally with the public and other employees.
