Mechanic II Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Mechanic II to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- drive lines;
- water pumps;
- body repairs;
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration;
- brake systems;
- wheel seals;
- tractor suspension;
- rear differentials;
- tires;
- transmissions;
- Perform the functions of a Grade 1 Mechanic.
Requirements:
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds;
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
- Previous mechanical experience highly preferred but willing to train. Candidates with automotive mechanical background acceptable.
