Legal Director Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Legal Director to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee case docket and ensure it is aligned with organizational strategies and goals;
- Support and shape GLAD’s litigation, legislative and policy, and legal education work.
Requirements:
- Charismatic and experienced communicator with the ability to convey ideas clearly and openly in public and private environments;
- Successful strategic leadership experience in a high-impact organization, ideally in a social-sector or cross-sector context;
- A passion for NILC’s mission and demonstrated commitment to community-centered immigrant justice;
- A leader who is disciplined and focused while also being agile and adaptive;
- Proven success leading diverse teams, developing equitable policies, and creating cultures of inclusion;
- Appellate litigation experience;
- Abiding commitment to race and gender equity and economic justice in LGBTQ litigation and policy;
- Demonstrated success building strong and effective teams working in cultures defined by excellence, professionalism, trust, and respect;
- A deep understanding of how impact litigation, policy and education strategies are employed to expand civil rights and change cultural norms;
- Ability to lead and influence;
- Some understanding of rev rec standards i.e ASC 606;
- In-depth understanding of the legal/contractual implications of GDPR, CCPA, DPA and other consumer/data privacy regulations;
- 5+ years of in-house legal experience in a SaaS company with overall revenue of $50+ million in ARR;
- Articulate business processes and legal impact on these processes;
- Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial contracts with Fortune 500 companies.
