Product Counsel Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Product Counsel to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day support for the product development teams;
- Assessing legislative or regulatory developments with actual or potential impact on key product initiatives and strategies;
- Advising clients both on individual customer contract issues and in designing contract language that best meet business objectives;
- Coordinating with business, legal, external affairs and other groups to ensure effective advocacy of product strategies;
- Reviewing and advising on new and existing consumer products and services;
- Ability to draft clear and concise public facing disclosures, disclaimers, terms of use or other public facing documents for our customers;
- Provide pragmatic day to day and strategic advice to minimize legal risks while advancing business goals and initiatives;
- Manage internal projects, training, processes, and drive cross-functional efforts to successful completion.
Requirements:
- Sense of humor;
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Comfortable handling chaos and ability to thrive in a team environment;
- Eagerness and drive to continue learning;
- Experience counseling product development and working closely with designers, engineers, and product management;
- Enthusiasm and passion for technology, law, and business;
- 4+ years relevant experience; JD from top law school; admitted to the Bar.
