Our company is looking for a Commercial Counsel to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pragmatic, business-minded guidance on contract-related issues;
  • Assist with special projects as needed;
  • Develop support materials and provide trainings to educate our direct sales and channel teams on contract terms and other legal issues;
  • Work with our commercial teams to improve our customer-facing forms and processes;
  • Negotiate enterprise cloud and license agreements for applicable Atlassian products and services;
  • J.D. with membership in at least one U.S. state bar (CA or NY preferred);
  • 3-6 years of in-house commercial transactional experience, preferably at a VC-backed technology company;
  • 3-6 years of in-house commercial transactional experience, preferably at a VC-backed technology company.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of combined experience within corporate company and law firm environment;
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business model;
  • Must be able to move easily between a hands-on, operations-focused view and a strategic outlook;
  • Demonstrated understanding of the laws, regulations, standards, and guidance governing the conduct of a medical device company;
  • Excellent commercial negotiation and drafting skills;
  • J.D. with membership in at least one U.S. state bar (CA or NY preferred);
  • Experience with other types of corporate transactional documents, such as financing documents and real estate agreements;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comfort with the uncertainty inherent in building a business;
  • Excellent business and legal judgment and the ability to work flexibly with a variety of teams;
  • DIVISION GENC General Counsel;
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, negotiation, and drafting skills;
  • Experience with Salesforce, DocuSign and JIRA is a plus;
  • 3-6 years of in-house commercial transactional experience, preferably at a VC-backed technology company;
  • Excellent legal and business judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously;
  • Entrepreneurial, comfortable with technology and can drive impact and clarity with limited resources and a high tolerance for ambiguity.
