Principal Chemist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Principal Chemist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate project related documentation following Videojet standard work;
- Ensure that projects are successfully completed on time;
- Lead efforts to identify project risks and resolve key technical problems;
- Contribute to the resolution of design issues such as conflicting design requirements;
- Work as part of a team to develop innovative ink jet inks to drive growth;
- Provide technical leadership to colleagues with less experience;
- Coordinate project activities with other technical groups or cross functional units;
- Support printer qualification and root cause analysis of printer issues related to new inks;
- Contribute significantly to NPD projects through ink formulation designs.
Requirements:
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
- Results oriented – is willing to work in the lab more than 70% of the time;
- Documentation- ability to generate high quality reports and effectively analyze data;
- Teamwork – can work effectively with others as part of a team;
- Prioritization- ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment;
- Problem solving- ability to solve complex technical problems.
