Our company is looking for a Site Safety & Health Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce the requirements outlined in the HASP;
  • Initiate and authorize a “Stop Work” order for any imminent S&H concerns;
  • Conduct onsite safety inspections, safety orientation, and accident investigations;
  • Provide document control on all accidents;
  • Specify proper levels of PPE IAW the requirements of the HASP;
  • Properly complete the requisite safety and health related forms to capture required safety and health data;
  • Verify compliance with health and safety regulations and ensure all necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines;
  • Prepares reports and recommends corrective action;
  • Supporting the AECOM Construction Manager in meeting all requirements of the APP;
  • May administer a HSE program on a small to medium sized, specialized, project or multiple projects;
  • Conducting periodic site inspections as required per the APP;
  • Ensures that quality control procedures are executed to monitor all aspects of regulations;
  • Verifying training requirements of AECOM and subcontractor staff;
  • Technically responsible for a major phase or component of a project;
  • Ensuring the implementation of AECOM Safety Health and Environment Program.

Requirements:

  • Capable of coordinating and communicating well and in a professional, positive manner with co-workers, subcontractors, government acencies and owners;
  • Experience with Procore a plus;
  • Spanish Speaking preferred;
  • OSHA 500;
  • Able to prioritize in order to meet tight deadlines;
  • This position requires a physical lifting capability of 30 pounds and requires repetitive hand movements as well as physical dexterity and mobility;
  • Willingness to seek out solutions and talent for following up with co-workers, subcontractors, government agencies and owners;
  • 5 years experience in construction industry;
  • Knowledge of Workers Comp. law and OSHA regulations.
