Our company is looking for a Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all cost controls for food and labor are being achieved to enable a positive budget result;
- Performing administrative tasks to support the Food and Beverage Operations Manager with labor management and compliance;
- Ensuring guest satisfaction through expeditious service and applicable service recovery efforts including thorough follow-up;
- Maintains effective communication with all employees and staff members;
- Monitoring productivity throughout the day and providing support where needed;
- Assisting in the preparation and management of operational budgets, achieving sales and profit levels;
- Assists in establishing product menu and records product inventories;
- Working with the Restaurant Manager to plan and design menus;
- Closely interacting with other members of the Food and Beverage team and participating in departmental meetings;
- Aiding in the training, supervising, scheduling, evaluating, and directing of all restaurant Associates;
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters;
- Assuring prompt and professional service is provided to all guests;
- Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance;
- Assisting other outlets and taking on additional tasks as requested;
- Taking full responsibility for managing a shift, acting as the Restaurant Manager in his/her absence.
Requirements:
- The ability to successfully obtain a liquor card from the Department of Liquor Control and TIPS certification;
- Strategic management skills including effective multi-tasking ability to oversee multiple positions and job tasks simultaneously;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the ability to master property and labor management software systems;
- Excellent communication skills through various methods including phone and two-way radio etiquette, and proficient written communication skills;
- Strong working knowledge of food and beverage industry practices and trends;
- TB Clearance required;
- The ability to speak, read and write proficiently in the English language;
- Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills, ability to work with flexible work schedule, be a team player and a dynamic leader;
- Minimum of 2+ years as F&B Management preferred;
- Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred.
