Associate Systems Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Associate Systems Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Document and track problems to facilitate a timely resolution;
- Installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space;
- Assist end users in resolving hardware and software issues;
- Make recommendations on purchasing hardware/software and coordinate the installation;
- Quickly and effectively learn new systems to rapidly identify solutions to resolve and prevent future service interruptions;
- Provide drafting and review of technical documentation, calling out key updates and areas of improvement where necessary;
- Install PCs, wireless networks, desktop infrastructure, and devices such as printers, scanners, etc;
- Summarizes key elements of a technical problem and accurately assign cases to internal and external partners as necessary;
- Conduct daily network backup operations and maintenance;
- Interact with users and evaluates vendor products;
- Timely and accurate notification of service impacting events to the appropriate team;
- Develop and monitor policies and standards related to the use of computing resources;
- Set up administrator and service accounts while maintaining the system documentation;
- Tuning system performance;
- Perform various job duties with different departments like, production organization, IT, etc.
Requirements:

- Certification in Comptia A+
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering;
- 2+years of experience in computer networks and system maintenance;
- Strong attention to detail and desire to provide excellent customer service;
- 3+ years of experience on current network operating systems;
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
