IT Systems Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IT Systems Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Light to moderate knowledge of network architecture frameworks and methodologies;
- Responsible to improve current processes to maintain the efficiency on them;
- Business Support;
- Ensure the maintenance of the equipment’s is current in contract and the actual maintenance executed in regular basis;
- Attend the helpdesk system and calls to follow up requests;
- Provides support for all system modifications and installations,
- Manage and Design enterprise storage systems SAN, NAS, Cloud;
- Campus fiber;
- Windows Server Clustering;
- Manage and administer Mac environment using Jamf with policies and configuration profiles;
- Security and Management Tools: Password manager, Cisco Meraki advanced security tools, Anti-virus, End-point protection tools;
- Attend meetings as requested by Supervisor;
- Be thoroughly familiar with, and review at least annually, personnel policies and procedures of NHS, Inc;
- Ability to work closely with our engineering team;
- Purchase of hardware and software for organization.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Linux;
- Experience with Microsoft Network Operating Systems 2012 R2 and above, and Microsoft Active Directory;
- Experience with virtualized server infrastructures and VMWare 6.0 or higher;
- Experience with Cisco firewalls;
- Experience with Antivirus/malware products;
- Prior Technical Support experience;
- Above average written and verbal communication skills;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience administering a Windows Server Environment;
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
- Strong understanding of proactive customer service;
- Shell scripting/automation/python is a HUGE plus;
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time;
- Good interpersonal, typing, and verbal/written communication skills;
- Team player and fast learner;
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required or equivalent work experience and either Microsoft or CICSCO certifications will be consider in lieu of a degree.
