Our company is looking for a Chief Medical Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with and advise our research and clinical quality improvement teams regarding studies and publications;
  • Design, lead, and have teams deliver upon Accountable Care Organization (ACO) goals;
  • Leads our physician providers in weekly morbidity and mortality meetings;
  • Hires, manages and mentors physicians; be a clinical leader;
  • Orienting and mentoring all new physicians/mid-level providers;
  • Scheduling and conducting clinical staff meetings;
  • Ensuring medical staff activities are coordinated with other operating units of the organization;
  • Represent Company to US and foreign regulatory agencies;
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested;
  • Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with complete confidentiality and security;
  • Lead portfolio decisions/investment decisions related to clinical development;
  • Work in coordination with the health care providers and case managers to develop treatment plans for customers;
  • Develop, coordinate and supervise staff within the health center;
  • Ensure the efficient and effective flow of customers through the health center;
  • Play a key role in mitigating risk to customers, staff, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school (MD or DO degree);
  • Board certified in a clinical discipline. Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania;
  • Expert, up-to-date medical knowledge, particularly in health care delivery systems;
  • Cardiologist with experience at an academic medical institution;
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of clinical research concepts, practices, and GCP and ICH guidelines;
  • 10 years experience preferred;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced matrix environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, in collaborative settings, required;
  • Current and valid medical license in the State of California and Medical Board certified;
  • Multiple years of management experience leading a clinical group including clinical operations, regulatory, and quality control;
  • Previous interaction with the FDA is a plus, but not required;
  • Excellent knowledge of the competitive environment for drugs in the oncology marketplace and in research and development pipelines;
  • Five years of administrative experience in Health plan management, including management of other physicians and/or clinical staff;
  • A collaborative management style.
