Our company is looking for a Director of Product Engineering to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Help your team balance keeping the lights on with long-term, high-impact investments;
  • Drive technical architecture and process decisions to ensure the continued health of the overall system;
  • Help build a diverse and highly skilled team able to keep up with a rapidly growing product;
  • Improve the reliability, efficiency and operability of fault-tolerant distributed systems;
  • Help the team build and maintain our distributed, high-throughput, real-time data pipeline, implemented as a set of Go microservices;
  • Work directly with the VP of Engineering and CTO and your team to define and evolve our architecture;
  • Lead the team to continuously improve our operating processes;
  • Ensure we have the tools in place to observe and understand our systems in production;
  • Set goals and hold constraints to ensure the health and continuing improvement of the system;
  • Ensure we run a cost-effective service, monitor and make changes to hit spending targets;
  • Travel, including international travel, may be required;
  • Manage beta programs, author documentation and track customer issues;
  • Interface with R&D team to drive and influence product development to fulfill customer requirements;
  • Drive key customer engagements in cooperation with local/international Field Applications team.

Requirements:

  • Experience building on AWS and ensuring cost-effective utilization;
  • Experience building and maintaining real-time, large-scale production systems;
  • Experience in managing and leading a team;
  • A history of setting and achieving operational goals;
  • Candidate must have 8+ years relevant industry experience with a MSEE -or- 12+ years experience with a BSEE;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge of 3D computational electromagnetics;
  • Requires in-depth knowledge & industry experience in signal/power integrity and analysis.
