Director of Property Management Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Director of Property Management to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve all accounts payable, accurately noting appropriate account and property allocations;
- Create and work within property budgets and develop and implement cost saving measures;
- Respond to emergency property issues including after-hours;
- Shop insurance coverage annually on behalf of property owners;
- Provide monthly summaries to property owners including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, reconciliation reports, and rent rolls;
- Prepare for and coordinate property transitions including new acquisitions, vacancies, and dispositions;
- Procure new vendors, negotiate contracts for maintenance services, and coordinate monthly/quarterly/annual inspections;
- Remotely supervise third-party property managers, contractors, vendors, and maintenance personnel;
- Bookkeeping with knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online;
- Annual operating expense reconciliations;
- Proficiency in Mac computers using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel;

- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Yardi a plus;
- Develop and maintain relationships with tenants at both the local and corporate levels;
- Ability to delegate responsibilities as needed to in-house colleagues.
