The Director of Total Rewards works with senior management to ensure that compensation and benefits programs support the organization’s business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization’s compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, incentive pay, health and welfare benefits, and retirement benefits. Being a Director of Total Rewards may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Develops compensation and benefits budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. In addition, Director of Total Rewards requires a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to top management. The Director of Total Rewards manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Working as a Director of Total Rewards typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) administration;

  • Lead HRIS selection, management, reporting, and analysis to help boost the productivity of Finance & People Operations broadly;
  • Design reports that monitor total rewards costs and provide executive leadership with data needed to understand trends and budget impacts;
  • Benchmark individual positions (inclusive of new and existing positons) on an on-going basis to establish competitive salary grades and ranges.

  • Must have a successful track record of leading the total rewards function for a global, high tech organization;
  • Experience with compensation & benefit design and execution globally and in emerging geographical markets is a significant plus;
  • Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical analysis into executive presentations;
  • Ability to think globally, strategically, and objectively and experience developing and implementing large scale projects and change initiatives;
  • 10+ years of benefits and compensation related experience with a minimum of 3 years of leadership and executive compensation experience;
  • Must have an outstanding attention to detail;
  • Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent in experience. Business administration, finance, economics, or other quantitative focus preferred;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, growing environment;
  • Ability to toggle between the 10- and 10,000-foot view of challenges or projects;
  • Global benefit experience including knowledge of health and welfare plans, leaves, time off practices and retirement plans;
