Field Coordinator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Field Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and track volunteers to be involved with CFWEP programs;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Assist in program development and grant proposal writing;
- Teach lessons and lead fieldtrips;
- Communicate school needs and activities to CFWEP staff;
- Monitor fleet for onboard health checks;
- Ensure educational outreach milestones are reached;
- Assist on-boarding of Skip Rangers (the contractor workforce that picks up our scooters) and responding to their questions;
- Provide scientific support for curriculum development and data collection/management;
- Optimize pick up pricing to ensure fleet is charged;
- Report on conditions impacting our fleet;
- Assist with teacher professional development and lesson creation for CFWEP target schools;
- Coordinate and manage classroom Restoration Education Program within Clark Fork Watershed schools;
- Manage fleet size to ensure compliance with local limits;
- Ability to travel throughout Southwest Montana.
Requirements:
- Be an adaptive communicator and writer comfortable with in-person, email, telephone, and online video conference mediums;
- Demonstrated experience with lesson plan development and providing professional development for teachers;
- Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about backcountry recreation: safety, impact, logistics;
- Demonstrated teaching experience with a variety of age groups and in various settings;
- Experience in scientific data management and field research methods;
- Knowledge of the upper Clark Fork watershed history, restoration, and stakeholders;
- Ability to work independently and remotely, as our staff and guides are geographically diverse;
- Experience with grant writing;
- Current Teaching Certificate.
