Head of Product Marketing Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head of Product Marketing to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Build data-backed measurable KPIs for all activities;
- Drive internal product education and awareness;
- Lead Product launches – Plan the launch of new product releases and measure success;
- Develop sales enablement programs, presentations, and tools to communicate intended value propositions that help us win;
- Analyst Relations – Own industry analyst relationships and education to further the Contrast thought leader position;
- Hire, manage, and motivate a global product marketing team to do great work;
- Build and lead the organization responsible for key initiatives in close partnership with Front’s Product, Sales, and Success teams;
- Enable customer-facing teams with the tools, training, and content they need to position and sell Front;
- Evangelize customer success stories through written case studies, video testimonials, and formal reference program;
- Manage product launches, scaled customer onboarding, and ongoing scaled education to drive product adoption and customer growth;
- Identify and prioritize key segments with targeted positioning and messaging that drives acquisition, conversion, and expansion;
- Be a trusted partner to the product team and relay customer, sales and market insights that inform product roadmap decisions and strategy;
- Work with senior executives, peers and partners and quickly building their trust, so they see you and your team focused on obtaining mutual success;
- Lead, motivate, mentor, and grow the product marketing team ensuring they are successful in their roles;
- Identify and prioritize key segments with targeted positioning and messaging that drives acquisition, conversion, and expansion.
Requirements:
- Familiarity one or more of these product markets: cybersecurity, IT, software development;
- Experience marketing technology products to large or mid-market buyers;
- Decisive but flexible, and able to perform and adapt quickly in a dynamic, rapidly changing, and fast-paced environment;
- 7+ years leading product marketing, product management, or marketing teams;
- Ability to lead and communicate cross-functionally with sales, engineering and other departments;
- Great interpersonal and communication skills;
- BA/BS or equivalent working experience in enterprise SaaS;
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills;
- Bachelors degree, MBA preferred;
- Experience delivering large-scale projects and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously;
- Good time management skills;
- 5+ years of experience leading a team of at 5+ associates;
- Proficient oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to be accountable and think like an owner, demonstrating high attention to detail and quantitative skills in a competitive environment;
- MBA preferred.
