Our company is looking for a Laboratory Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in or perform basic analytical tests from well-defined standards and procedures as required by operational considerations;
  • Lead the laboratory team overseeing all laboratory operations and functions;
  • Ensure that all analyses are evaluated and completed in accordance with established laboratory requirements;
  • Act as a mentor for laboratory staff;
  • Support the analytical needs of the Operations Team for all activities related to fermentation and production;
  • Prepare product development or client services proposals, associated documentation and final reports for product development or client projects;
  • Other duties as required;
  • Submit performance improvement initiatives and drive efficiencies and continuous improvement within the laboratory operation;
  • Responsible for renewal and maintenance of CA (DHS) licensure; CLIA Certificate of Accreditation and Joint Commission Accreditation;
  • Act as a member of the Log10 Food Safety team;
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager to maintain laboratory equipment and ensure repairs are reported and conducted on a timely basis;
  • Lead or assist in the development of laboratory procedures & documentation;
  • Demonstrates accountability in knowledge of and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Enhances professional growth, development and knowledge;
  • Responsible for the laboratory enrollment in an approved proficiency testing program for all tests performed in the hospital.

Requirements:

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus;
  • GC/MS;
  • Familiar with Cannabis Analytical Lab Techniques;

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen;
  • BA or Associates required;
  • ISO Lab Requirements;
  • At least 2 years of Lab Management experience preferred;
  • PTO accrual beginning Day 1;

  • Must be able to pass a background check;
  • HPLC;
