The Manager – Mechanical Engineering ensures all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization’s established policies and objectives. Plans and directs all aspects of mechanical engineering activities within an organization. Being a Manager – Mechanical Engineering requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Responsibilities:

  • Design components, mechanisms and systems based on project specifications;
  • Modify and maintain drawings and design modifications based on “as built” conditions;
  • Occasional travel may be required;
  • Evaluate potential solutions to engineering problems for feasibility, manufacturability, and cost;
  • Support shop and field technicians to ensure that equipment is installed correctly;
  • Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are continually competitive and cost effective;
  • Assist with determining project scope and specification based on customer requirements;
  • Determines and agrees to manpower, expense, and capital budgets; and monitors spending;
  • Implements and maintains design tools programs to ensure a high degree of standardization and design data integrity;
  • Ensures that design documentation is complete, accurate, and conforms to industry standards and policies;
  • Ensures that complete design and development records are kept for new in-house product designs;
  • Evaluates new proposals and provides estimates for design efforts as required;
  • Provides technical support to Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, and Production.

Requirements:

  • Experience with program cost and schedule monitoring and reporting;
  • Broad based design engineering background;
  • 10+ years of professional experience.
