The Manager – Mechanical Engineering ensures all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization’s established policies and objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Design components, mechanisms and systems based on project specifications;
  • Modify and maintain drawings and design modifications based on “as built” conditions;
  • Occasional travel may be required;
  • Evaluate potential solutions to engineering problems for feasibility, manufacturability, and cost;
  • Support shop and field technicians to ensure that equipment is installed correctly;
  • Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are continually competitive and cost effective;
  • Assist with determining project scope and specification based on customer requirements;
  • Determines and agrees to manpower, expense, and capital budgets; and monitors spending;
  • Implements and maintains design tools programs to ensure a high degree of standardization and design data integrity;
  • Ensures that design documentation is complete, accurate, and conforms to industry standards and policies;
  • Ensures that complete design and development records are kept for new in-house product designs;
  • Evaluates new proposals and provides estimates for design efforts as required;
  • Provides technical support to Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, and Production.

Requirements:

  • Experience with program cost and schedule monitoring and reporting;
  • Broad based design engineering background;
  • 10+ years of professional experience.
