Public Relations Associate Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Public Relations Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction;
- Building relationships with customers and communicating promotional services;
- Assist committees with coordination of events;
- Position will be considered for senior campaign management roles based on performance;
- Assist with production of public relations and communications activities;
- Keeping an accurate and timely record of event traffic, production, and inventory;
- Collect data and information, as needed, for topics to be reviewed in executive staff meetings or for department presentations;
- Identifying new opportunities and efficiency innovations;
- Working with the Marketing Manager to develop and refine measurement strategies for PR campaigns;
- Coordinating in-store service events and maintaining successful operation;
- Working with the Marketing Manager and key accounts to integrate PR campaigns with customer promotions;
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and retail event personnel;
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned;
- Development of promotional marketing materials an visual merchandising;
- Document the activities of the project team, including meeting notes, agendas, status reports, etc.
Requirements:
- Superior writing skills in a number of different styles/tones, from formal to casual;
- A prolific writer who brings interesting, compelling, rare perspectives to a conversation;
- Impeccable spelling and grammar, knowledge of AP Stylebook;
- Real passion for building brand awareness and thought leadership through storytelling;
- Bachelor’s degree from a selective university in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field;
- An understanding and appreciation of project ownership and management;
- Possess the ability to be a scrappy problem solver;
- An interest in ongoing personal development through training and coaching;
- Is successful in generating buzz and driving awareness;
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and work in a fast-paced environment;
- College degree or in the process of completion preferred;
- 0-2 years of experience;
- 2+ years of experience in a Public Relations role (agency or in-house);
- Adaptable, dependable and responsible;
- Superb organizational and tracking skills with great attention to detail.
