Sales Planner Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sales Planner to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Customize reports for Account Executives and track their client’s overall delivery;
- Proactively address inventory issues, revenue at risk and CPM analysis;
- Troubleshoot potential issues that would cause loss of revenue by working with the Traffic team and maintaining integration deadlines;
- Provide support and research to VP, Pricing and Analysis and/or a person designated by Senior Management;
- Manage interdepartmental workflow to ensure that all elements are handled according to process and schedule;
- Work on inventory issues, revenue at risk etc. and revenue and CPM analysis reports weekly;
- Manage inventory across all business’: :30s, :10s, Cable;
- Monitor reserved inventory & determine with Sales team on reservation expiration;
- Adhere to all department’s Service Level Agreements;
- The most important functions of this job includes ensuring proper inventory levels to fill customer orders and ecommerce drop ship;
- Drive communication between asset management, sales teams and commercial operations relative to advertiser deal points;
- Communicate effectively with agency contacts in order to properly deliver proposals, revisions and fulfill any and all day to day requests;
- Assist the marketing teams in executing creative elements in proposals, as well as help in communicating with producers and programming;
- Develop, create and maintain sales proposals driving revenue through strategic packaging of assigned Disney network(s);
- Ensure accuracy of all internal reporting for your assigned accounts, updating ordered/held/working status, liability, flight and programming changes.
Requirements:
- Superior written and oral communication skills;
- Experience developing and executing brand campaigns across digital advertising;
- Expertise in media planning and ad product best practices;
- Proven leadership & problem solving skills;
- Has knowledge of Disney’s multimedia properties;
- 1+ years of media planning experience in a related field or company;
- Experience working with dynamic digital products such as Sponsorships, Audience Guarantee, Viewability & Programmatic a plus, not required;
- At least 1-2 years of digital or TV media experience. Sales Planning or Yield experience preferred;
- Digital media planning is a must;
- Computer skills required;
- Experience using Google Ad Manager or Quantcast would be a plus;
- Minimum 2 years prior agency, network or media experience;
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with research tools such as: Google Analytics, comScore, Quantcast, and/or Shareablee;
