Our company is looking for a Structural Engineering Project Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating proposals and budgets;
  • Participating in meetings;
  • Interacting with clients and team members;
  • Negotiating and managing budgets, schedules and resources;
  • Managing and developing designers and engineers;
  • Planning and managing large scale, complex construction projects;
  • Assist with task, project and contract proposals;
  • Prepare engineering calculations and prepare technical reports;
  • Guide technical staff designing transportation structures and developing contract documents;
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to junior staff, as well as hands-on design, as needed;
  • Perform field-related work including structure condition inspections, site visits, and field inventories;
  • Ensure projects adhere to company quality control program and safety standards;
  • Development of contract documents, including quality control reviews;
  • Completing tasks within schedule and budget to the satisfaction of our public and private clients.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience working with MDOT and local government transportation departments;
  • Ability to successfully pass a federal, state, and local security background check;
  • Proficient with various structural design software (e.g., Bentley LARS, STAAD, LEAP);
  • Bridge Inspection certification preferred;
  • A professional engineering (P.E.) license in civil or structural is required;
  • Knowledgeable of AASHTO, FHWA, and Maryland DOT design codes and standards;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related is required;
  • Proficient with CAD software; Microstation and/or Autocad;
  • U.S. Citizen, Green Card Resident or Work Authorization in the United States;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Experience in developing complete contract documents for structural projects;
  • Pre-employment drug screening;
  • Strong client relationship experience and the ability to manage complex projects;
  • Proven ability to build and manage successful project teams;
  • BIM (Revit) experience.
