Systems Engineering Senior Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Systems Engineering Senior Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Drive out of the box thinking to meet difficult engineering schedule milestone goals;
- Prepare definition of task scope and job cost estimation for system engineering activities in project proposals;
- Hire, train, and develop system engineering resources to meet program demands;
- As necessary, lead overall systems engineering activities (e.g., key programs, red programs);
- Bridge inter-system engineering areas and develop seamless interfaces with non-system engineering functions;
- Evaluate overall systems project risks and facilitate risk mitigation planning and execution with program and functional leadership.
Requirements:
- DoDI 8570.01 Level III Certification (in any category as it relates to the PWS areas of responsibility for this Key Personnel position);
- One or more ITIL certifications;
- Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) certification;
- Top Secret Clearance;
- Working knowledge of strategic planning;
- Ability to manage work independently;
- Demonstrated ability to define architectural strategy and supporting the implementation;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal means along with experience in making presentations in front of others;
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance;
- Strong verbal communication skills for internal and customer presentation;
- modeling techniques;
- Familiarity with the military/defense contracting environment;
- Strong practical organization, facilitation, and arbitration skills;
- Demonstrated ability/proven track record of leading project teams and working independently as appropriate;
- Ability to coordinate between key stakeholders.
