Unit Director Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Unit Director to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Are responsible for the general safety and well-being of campers with a focus on our intentional camp outcomes;
- Provide daily and nightly support and care to cabin staff and campers within your unit;
- Known and be well rehearsed in camp emergency procedure and take on situational leadership as assigned and directed;
- Have been known to dress up like mythical characters, dance until the sun comes up, and sing the greatest hits, a regular jack of all trades;
- Assist in providing constructive feedback and evaluation of volunteer and seasonal cabin staff;
- Participate in staff development and training, pre-session planning, post-session debriefing, and staff meetings;
- Assist program team in executing evening program activities;
- Living at camp from June 1 to August 9 (approximately 11 weeks, time off between camp sessions).
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree required;
- Five years of experience which includes three years of clinical nursing and 2 years of nursing leadership;
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
- Either Bachelor’s or Master’s degree must be in Nursing;
- BLS required;
- Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
