VP of Operations Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a VP of Operations to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Planning the work;
- Providing for safety and security of the workplace;
- Interviewing, selecting, and training employees;
- Inspect work flow throughout the terminal;
- Analyze data, create, prepare and distribute various reports and information;
- Manage P&L, identify, develop and implement corrective measures to meet and exceed targeted goals;
- Successfully manage customer and client relationships at all levels resolving customer issues and service opportunities effectively;
- Responsible for fostering a positive culture;
- Analyze and identify market trends to determine potential economic impact on portfolios;
- Operational focus on revenue per truck and total miles, reducing empty miles, and working tractor plan;
- Take the lead in defining Bungalow’s property operations strategy, processes, and structure to achieve company targets;
- Successfully builds relationships at all levels of the client organization;
- Ensures that Operations Team members are performing their responsibilities effectively;
- Rigorously measure operational metrics and KPIs, and make data driven decisions;
- Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Must be knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of food;
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;
- Experience in managing a total managed volume of $25M or higher;
- Must be able to make business decisions based on financial reports and similar facts;
- Must be able to analyze and interpret policies established by administrators;
- Must reside within the city of Evanston;
- Highly creative and strategic: track record of creating innovative and sound strategy for growth;
